We'll build you a custom site that's cool, sleek and fit for use in business or for pleasure. And, free for a couple of days, we'll also give you the tools to refine it further, and an address on the internet where you can show it to your friends.

You may at any time copy the pages we've built you for royalty-free reuse wherever you like. Easily downloaded via the "Save As..." option in your browser, they are compatible with all major free and paid-for hosting services.

how long does it take?

Just as long as it takes you to respond to around a dozen questions. Most are optional, or safe to leave for later - so you can be finished in under two minutes! If you take more care over the answers, maybe five or ten minutes. Within an hour, and probably far sooner, you'll receive notification of an Access Code to allow you to open your site.

why do we do this for free?

We find this a very efficient way of advertising our services and attracting potential customer interest. Even if you don't become a customer, we still hope that you will credit us for building your site and help spread the word - which will often lead to new customers in the long run.

But we also want you to see how easy it is to manage and update an entire website, and how cheaply we can host it, using the powerful and unique snippysite tools. There is no software you need to buy. There are no skills ("HTML", "CSS", "FTP", etc.) you need to learn. Your hosting is taken care of. You don't need to buy in help to change your pages when you can do it yourself.

And we are able to help you expand whenever you are ready to. For example, if you're over 18 and a citizen of a major country, we can probably configure your site to accept credit cards payments for a one-off configuration cost of under $100/ £60 (and a small fee for every transaction). Or, if you need more specialized programming customizations: we built the snippysite easy-edit system ourselves and we can build a custom system for you. Your first, quick site need only be the beginning!

how do I save my free site?

If you only want a free site, before your trial services run out, visit each page on your website and save it to a local drive using the "Save As..." facility in your browser. (If you are using custom backgrounds, you should also save the images, and in this case you may also need to edit the pages to ensure the CSS is carried over. It's easier to do than explain: just ask us if you get to this position and we'll tell you precisely what to do in your case.)

Once you have these files, you will need to upload them (typically using FTP) to the location your ISP or internet host provides for hosting a website. If you ever want to change your pages, you must find an editor that will do this, or learn HTML; and then repeat the FTP upload process. Your host, or other service providers, will also be able to provide a domain name which you can (usually) repoint to your website, to give it a more friendly URL.

This can be daunting for beginners, and it is expensive for everyone - which is why many customers choose to continue with our simple, unfussy yet powerful services.

But remember: you've signed no lock-in contract with us, so there's nothing to cancel. You are free to walk away at any time.
